Soaking your body in warm water can be very therapeutic, by removing toxins, tensions, healing muscles, joints, and skin. Traditionally baths would have different types of salts, flowers, herbs, oils, or other ingredients with healing properties. I would like to talk about different 5 Salt bath recipes that you can do yourself. For the base of these salt bath recipes, you can use pink/Himalayan salt, sea salt, or Epson salt. It is recommended to use Epson Salt that is a food-grade salt. In the recipes, you can use any kind of salt that is mentioned above. The salt contains a lot of minerals, include potassium, iron, calcium, and magnesium.
It is recommended to soak your body in warm water for at least 15-20 min once per week.
Before we jump into the recipes, let’s list some benefits of the salts that we mentioned.
For this recipe, you would need 1/4 cup of Epson Salt, 4-5 drops of lavender oil, and lavender flowers. A great mix to relax your body and mind. Helps to reduce stress after a long day or a heavy workout in the gym. Lavender oil and flowers give an amazing aroma. Additionally, you can add 3 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil.
You can use any kind of salt that was mentioned before, then add 4-5 drops of eucalyptus essential oil and rosemary essential oil. Also, as a choice, you can make a strong tea out of rosemary leaves and branches and add it to your bath. Which is great for the skin and hair.
You need 1/4 cup of rose petals, and 1 tbsp of dry hibiscus tea leaves. You can prepare the tea mix in advance, or you can add it to the hot bath. Following with 1/2 cup of rose water. Soothing and relaxing.
Add 1 tbsp of ginger powder, 1 tbsp of raw (unrefined) coconut oil, 1/4 cup of baking soda. Following with 4-5 essential oils you like. Anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, exfoliating.
For this recipe, you would need 4-5 drops of patchouli essential oil, 2 tsp of olive leaf powder, 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil. Grounding, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing.
Last but not least, for this recipe you need 1 cup of sea salt, 1 cup of dry calendula flowers, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 1/4 cup of olive oil, and 7 drops of geranium oil. Anti-inflammatory.
