I personally think the nature of herbs is so amazing. Mother nature gave us so many plants as a gift for us to maintain our body, mind, and soul. How often do we take time to have a mindful preparation to go to sleep and not being stuck on our phone or TV or work until we pass out. Let’s dive into mindful and best teas before going to sleep.
I used to have raspberry only in the smoothies or just like a berry. A few years ago, I found Raspberry leaf tea through Dr. Sebi’s list. To my surprise, I discovered a whole beneficial list behind this plant.
First of all, it’s rich in antioxidants that can protect our cells caused by free radicals, that the body produces as a reaction to environmental toxins and stressors. Especially, if you live in a big city where the stressors are very high. Besides, antioxidants kill microbes, reduce inflammation, lower blood pressure to name a few.
Additionally, raspberry tea has a great source of vitamins. For example, vitamin A is important for vision, the immune system, and reproduction. Vitamin A also helps the heart, lungs, kidneys, and other organs work properly.
Moreover, the herb is rich in vitamin B, which plays a vital role in maintaining good health and well-being. It has a direct impact on your energy levels, brain function, and cell metabolism. Vitamin B helps prevent infections and helps support or promote cell health.
Another source of the vitamin is Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid. It is necessary for the growth, development, and repair of all body tissues. It’s involved in many body functions, including the formation of collagen, absorption of iron, the proper functioning of the immune system, wound healing, and the maintenance of cartilage, bones, and teeth.
Furthermore, the tea is rich in iron which helps to preserve many vital functions in the body, including general energy and focus, gastrointestinal processes, the immune system, and the regulation of body temperature.
Lastly, for centuries this plant was well known as a great supporter of female health. It contains fragarine, which plays a key role in toning the uterus and other pelvic muscles. Fragarine helps uterine muscles to contract smoothly, reducing cramping during menstruation while also decreases heavy menstrual bleeding.
Another tea that I like to mix with raspberry leaf is Tila or Linden leaf. Also very alkaline and beneficial for your body. When I used to be a kid my mom would gather the fresh linden leaves and flowers for the whole year.
Linden has been used to promote sweating for feverish colds and infections, to reduce nasal congestion, and relieve throat irritation and cough, also, helpful with migraine, nervous tension. Linden has been used to treat nervous palpitations and high blood pressure. In addition, this tea can help to reduce anxiety. Also supports skin, eye health.
The flowers have been used to treat indigestion, various types of spasms, liver and gall bladder disorders, diarrhea. Infusions of the flowers make a pleasant-tasting tea.
Is a very soothing and relaxing tea. Has almost a black tea color and a sweet earthy taste.
You can find tulsi herb in many Indian Ayurvedic texts. Holy basil has been described as an elixir of life and adaptogenic tonic. It has been used to promote a strong body and mind. It helps with stress, anxiety, headaches, stomach disorders, cold and flu, and to name a few.
Holy basil is used also in cooking and is consumed raw as a fresh leaf, a dried powder, or mixed with ghee. The essential oil is used in cosmetics and skin preparations.
The root of this herb is very good to drink if you are stressed or if you feel anxious. I usually drink ashwagandha root tea by itself or as Golden Milk.
For thousands of years, people have used the roots and fruits of ashwagandha for medicinal purposes. The herb is also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry.
A lot of studies show that Ashwagandha helps with anxiety. The root also can reduce insomnia, fatigue, and symptoms of depression.
A very soft and soothing tea. The tea has a natural sweetness and rose color. The petals are edible also.
The tradition of drinking rose petals came from China. Rose tea plays an important part in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The tea helps to regulate Qi or life energy. Rose tea is a potential remedy for:
Moreover, the rose petals can be used in smoking, in food, baths, and burning insents.
Blue Lotus is bitter, aromatic, and warm energetically. In modern, Western herbalism, it is considered Aphrodisiac, antidepressant, antioxidant, anti-convulsant, and anti-inflammatory herb. It has been successfully used to purify the blood, treat tuberculosis, worms, and parasites, relieve edema, enhance libido and treat erectile dysfunction, alleviate anxiety and depression, and balance blood sugar levels. Blue Lotus has a great effect on the kidneys, heart, and nervous system.
Blue Lotus is also known as a dream herb. It can promote lucid dreaming and muscle relaxation. It can be smoked too.
You can find all these teas online or in herbal stores – Apothecary. Most of the time if its leaves or petals the steeping time is less than for roots since they are very gentle. Usually, roots tend to need more time from 10-15 min. And I would recommend covering the pot with leaves or roots in order for fragrant oils to open up more and not disappear.
Wholeness and Balanced Vibration
