Rosemary Homemade Shampoo

Greetings! Today I would like to share my Homemade Shampoo recipe.

I used to use commercial shampoo and conditioning for a while. Very convenient and also they smell most of the time good. But at the same time do we really know what is inside those bottles that we are putting on our hair, on our scalp, in our body.

More than three years ago I read a book about a raw diet where the person was talking about not only food to be natural but also what we put on our body. Since that time I stopped commercial self-care products.

What’s the difference

What I notice is after using my own shampoo my hair became thicker and more vibrant. I also noticed my hair grew so much in one year. I also didn’t need to have any conditions to apply to my hair.

My hair is medium-thin and wavy. Using commercial products made my hair very thin and dull and also, I would need to wash it very often than usual.

Recipe:

  • Vegetable soap –  vegetable soap cleanses the skin without drying or irritating it. It doesn’t remove skin oils from the scalp. While commercial brands have a lot of chemicals that remove not only dust, dead skin, and other debris but also good things from your skin that helps to protect your scalp skin.
  • Tea from rosemary (use a very strong tea)  – stimulates hair growth, treats dry skin, increases circulation
  • Vitamin E – maintains scalp health, boosts hair growth, and promotes hair strength/shine.
  • Apple Cider Vinegar – rich in vitamins and minerals good for hair, helps to exfoliate scalp skin
  • Argan oil – great for growth and strength/shine for hair.

How to prepare the Shampoo.

  • Prepare in advance 1 cup of a very strong rosemary tea. (chilled)
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 4 drops of vitamin E
  • 2 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 4 drops of Argan oil

You can add some essential oils for your own choice to have more aroma. I personally got used to the smell

Mix everything together and shake well. Ready to use!
